The fragrances we use are paraben-free, phthalate-free and vegan, and we use them at low levels. We also choose them carefully with sensitive skin in mind.

Sometimes synthetic fragrance is the better option because other fragrances and essential oils can be more irritating, especially for kids. Synthetic fragrances also give us more control over purity, consistency and safety.

When creating DotDot, our goal was to be as natural as possible, while still making choices that feel gentle, safe and considered for young skin.

There is growing concern around regular exposure to phthalates in fragrance, which is why any synthetic fragrance we use is phthalate-free and used at low levels. Where a natural option works well, great. Where it doesn’t, we choose the option that feels better for sensitive, changing skin.

We start with gentle, familiar ingredients we already love, like cucumber, aloe vera and avocado oil. From there, we look at ingredients with strong safety and efficacy data, like ceramides and niacinamide, that help support hydration and the skin barrier.

Every ingredient has to earn its place. Our formulas meet Australian standards at a minimum, and as parents, we made products we’d feel confident using on our own kids. That’s the same confidence we want to pass on to you.
